About:

Brooke Alexander has worked in early childhood education for nearly 20 years now. She started as an assistant teacher for a preschool and child care program in college, then moved into a lead teacher role with 2-year-olds at a private center-based preschool. After that, she became a Child Development Specialist and worked with Head Start children and families for several years. After being in the classroom for a while and completing her master's degree in early childhood education, and she decided to move into the Quality Rating and Improvement Systems (QRIS) world. Brooke has assessed program quality for early childhood center-based programs, school-based preschools, and family child care homes. She's also been a Quality Improvement Specialist that helped programs determine their quality levels, set goals, and work to improve them.
